Can't make/link a Jagex account

getting an error message when i try to link my account to Jagex, my friend is trying to get me into this game and it's just not working, accidentally put in the days/months into the account creation thing backwards the first time when filling it out

Sounds like you’re using a VPN. If you are, disable it or switch to a server where RuneScape is supported (for example, the UK).

Some people who are running into the 'you have been blocked" messages have had luck with temporarily disabling their browser extensions (usually ad blockers)

Then try disabling any adblockers / privacy scripts you might be running. Checking your firewall settings may also help.

If none of that helps, then you have likely been blocked because your network is involved in malicious activities.

we just moved to a new spot, and got a new router, i might need to contact my ISP and see about getting the IP address changed, as the one given by DHCP was probably previously used maliciously, at least that was my guess

i was using the web browser in steams shift+tab menu

tried it at a later time and it magically worked lol, if some moderator wants to close the discussion, should be good
