Also the Main Reason the Pride Events weren't Polled is because none of the Seasonal or Celebratory Events are Typically Polled.
As they are just Filler Content that doesn't do anything to Break the Balance of the Game and Usually just Give you Fun Little Cosmetic Stuff.
I Think the Main Reason is that the Polls Would probably Struggle to even Make it past 60%.

Wherever there is even the Tiniest amount of Rainbow or People just Being themselves.

This doesn't answer how it's *exactly* controversial. It's just rehash of what others have said. Don't see how it's shoved down your throat? I mean, with all the hate going around I can see why there needs to be a pride month event every year. It should had been every month instead of yearly, but that'd be too much for the haters. If you feel that offended that lgbtaq+ wants to be visible that says a lot about your own self. Have a nice day.

New content is always getting polled. So should this event. The other events existed before the poll system and should therefore not be affected by polls

There have been many unpolled new events, not to mention each event getting new content each time it's run. Why haven't you complained about the OSRS birthday event for the past 10 years? Why is it an issue now? Maybe you should stop playing the game out of protest.
