Account banned?

I've already appealed it but just wondering what are the chances that it will actually get looked at? I hadn't played in about a year, tried to log in to find my account has been disabled. Was perma banned for botting and macroing, with the mobile verification changed somehow. Do they bother to look at IP addresses of logins if you appeal or something?

if you can make a convincing case that you were hacked you might possibly get your account back... but they won't restore anything on it.

I'm honestly curious to see what they stole off my account considering it was a F2P one with only one bond.

there's only 2 ways you will get help
1) you are a streamer / content creator or you have inside contacts
2) make a reddit thread and hope it gains traction

literally the only way

Just watched a crumb osrs vid where he got back his account of 3-4 years after sending an appeal even after getting a major ban for botting/macroing. Apparently it's kind of common knowledge and even regular people who are not famous have gotten their accounts back though the same process. Through trial and error of many rs players they've found this.

My brother got his account back a couple of days ago when he appealed before easter. Last time he played was summer 2021 but somehow he got banned from macroing this january. Just as you said, they accepted his appeal because of seeing a strange IP adress. The language was also changed to Brazilian Portuguese.

The good news is I'm pleased to let you know that we identified a period of unusual activity around the time of the offence, and have removed any which occurred during this time as we believe they weren't committed by the account owner.

Same thing was for me too, I got unbanned yesterday

My account is still banned after using linux to download runescape from app manager place and played it on for a few hours only to log back in a few days later to find out i was banned 26 jan 2021 macroing major ban.

"Account banned for macroing in OldSchool. Our macro detection system has been monitoring your account closely and has detected that you are using illegal 3rd party software which violates the rules of the game and breaches your terms of service with Jagex. Our team have reviewed the evidence and can confirm that you were using illegal botting software. Jagex are able to accurately detect all illegal 3rd party software and any promises from their makers about being totally undetectable' or 'no ban guaranteed' are inaccurate. As such your account has been permanently removed from game. Please take this time to familiarise yourself with the rules should you wish to create another account."

that would indicate that either you were hacked or what you downloaded was a modified client. you don't have to try to download a bot to get a modified client, it probably contained a keylogger or something and therefore was a modified client... so maybe you were hacked lol...

remember to only use the official clients downloaded from the runescape website or steam.
