Stop Idle Logout?

So as I said before I'm new to Runelite, and I notice I get logged out by force if I am Idle for a certain time.
Is there anyway to completely turn this feature off? This kinda sucks because Im playing another MMO and I would like to keep Runelite on and play it when I need to AFK in my other game.

There is not. You have to click something every couple of minutes or you get logout.

there isnt really a way to increase this, as far as i know there are 3 / 4 timers that are actively preventing long term afk

Aggro Timer: this is a 10 minute timer where agressive monsters wont attack you after the 10 minutes, this is so you cant camp at aggressive monsters for the full 6h durration.

Idle timer: this is a 20 minute(might have the time wrong) timer where if afk and not interacting with anything it will log you out and free up space for another player.

Soft Log timer:
this is a 4 hour timer, this will trigger at 4 hours in game to tell you that you have been plating for too long and you need to take a rest.

Hard log timer
this is a 5 h 45 min timer where it would announce that you will be logged out forcefully from the game after 15 minutes. this timer is a follow up to the 4h timer

all these timers are designed to not have worlds, areas and monsers on lockdown where no-one else cant enjoy that piece of content.

note: i might be wrong on a couple of times but this gives you a basic overview for what the times are and why

the normal afk is like 5 mins until you get kicked at 4 hours you get a massage that you are playing for a long time and you should take a break and at 6 hour you just get hardloggedout =D

Just to add, this isn't a Runelite only feature, it's in the base game. Runelite can however can be configured to alert you just before you get logged out, so you get a chance to move the camera and stay logged in.

Go afk at sand crabs while you play your other mmo, They're located in the bottom right of zeah(you gotta be a member) you can afk for 10 minutes at a time, then you just have to run a bit away and run back and the crabs will aggro you again. just look up "sand crabs afk" or something on youtube and you will probably find a guide. that way u can make those combat gains while you play your other game

Also once you get your combat stats higher and get some quests done you can go do this thing called nightmare zone, its a combat minigame where you can afk for up to 20 minutes at a time and all you have to do is click the game once every 20 minutes

as the person above me stated, you can also do this. it'll send a windows notification everytime you're about to get logged out. It's called "idle notifier" i believe in the plugin section. You can also set it up to where instead of a windows notification itll flash your runelite client letting you know you're about to get logged out. To do this look up the plugin called runelite and click the cog, you also have to have Idle notifier enabled for it to flash your runelite client im pretty sure

You don't kill them for loot, you kill them for very easy AFK combat xp

I'm really, really liking the game (I just started it), but their business practices are a little shady and kind of leave a foul taste in my mouth.

Like, you want me to buy stuff off your shop to "expand" my inventory, but yet the free item that you give me to expand my inventory for a set period of time is somehow magically not working... huh? But i bet the one I buy from your shop will MAGICALLY WORK right?! Lol

I just downloaded Runelite this week and after a few hours of playing it, I confidently purchased the 3 month membership, just because I feel like I'm not being VULTURED by the damn game.
But BDO.... Oh lord, it's like the dealer that gives you free"samples" to get you hooked and then when they know you can't live without it, they charge you double because they know you're a fiendy little-bitvh.

looking to play other mmos as well, I suggest looking into Return of Reckoning, it's 100% community kept alive so 100% free. As for BDO, i tried it once on a big private server that gave you premium ♥♥♥♥ by just playing and XP rate wasn't so high. Even the private servers for that game are p2w =D just to a lesser extent.

There is plugins for both Runelite and other clients but you need to add them in manually and it counts as marcroing
