It's not "protecting" as you might see it, it's just telling you that there is such thing. After that it's everyones personal decission which one to pick: if it's enough to have password and bank pink (in game one) only or 2FA + psw + bank pin. After all if playing on Steam you should mind about steam account security too. It's common practise not to enter your details everywhere and to spread them around the internet, to use unique passwords, 2FA and check if your email/psw hasn't been pwned (pretty much this website to check that[haveibeenpwned.com])
Played this game for years, have never lost account and never got hacked, even before 2FA was a thing.
going by the experts even a passworld with 2 > 4 words are sufficient. like "monkey ceiling bread" and obviously a 2fac on every login will increase your security 1000x fold
Sarcasm btw! They seriously need to fix this issue with botting and macro using it's been a thing since this game came out but they don't even send you emails that you've been logged into on a new device or even give you a proper appeal system so you REALLY shouldn't expect anything out of them they are lazy and DO NOT CARE.
