Maybe because your account is linked to the steam account you play with? I think they are going to make an update where you can just log-in with your rs log-in instead of just steam

RS3 steam client is the same. It isn't that you can't have multiple accounts, but rather for some reason the way they've done it is 1 account can be linked to steam.

The way I understood this message is that you can only log in with one account period. Like you wouldnt be able to play on alts/pures/etc if you play on the steam client. Is this not the case ?

That's what I'm saying, you can only have 1 account tied to a steam account is the way they've done it. You can remove the association by going to account settings on the runescape website but it's not very good if you are going between multiple accounts all the time for sure...

You can have 100 accounts. Normally when you use the normal client (non steam) or Runelite etc, you get prompted to log in, there you can put in any of your accounts, passes. But on steam it's linked to one account so you can get in fast, it's a pain if you wanna do multiple accounts, I hope they give you a way to switch.

as it stands if you wanna add another account you gotta go to the web page and unlink the current acc from your steam acc.

I don't understand the issue here.

If you're someone that has played long enough to have multiple accounts, then why even bother with the steam version? Chances are you use Runelite anyways, why not have steam osrs logged into one account, and runelite into the other(s)?

I feel like OSRS steam is just to get new players into the game, veterans will like continue using runelite/whatever client they use. I personally am just keeping OSRS steam open while I have runelite open to log hours.

I personally play on Steam for hours, i like to tally my gametime. I'm hoping they do add some more achievements though, since I got half of them after simply logging into my existing account and I got the rest within 30 mins of play.
