If you'd like to play on a specific OSRS account using the Steam client, you'll need to make sure that your Steam is already linked to the account you want to use. Otherwise, Steam might think you're trying to play on your RS3 account if that has already been linked.

Unfortunately, you're not able to link more than one account with Steam at this time. OldSchool accounts automatically have a RS3 counterpart.


So let's get your accounts sorted. If you're having issues follow these steps.

The QoL that RuneLite offers is something I personally don't want to get rid of. For that reason im continuing to play using RuneLite. However to help display accurate current player base I did change it so that Steam launches my RuneLite client, which makes it so that you are counted on the Steam numbers. AKA helping grow the game more.

People have already figured out an easy way how to use RuneLite as allways and get all the stuff from steam, it was mentioned in one of the guides regarding steam launch options.

I'm sure they would but you're going to have to elaborate on why they would they would appreciate it I know you can get Shady plugin for the other clients well that inherently doesn't make them bad plus I thought the jmods were fine with people using the other clients I don't use that many plugins but things like 60fps and farther viewing range i need animation smoothing I need the experienced trackers i use all the time

We're totally cool with people using runelite, it would just help us out if players tried out Steam for the launch, and it would help us out for visibility. I personally think the achievements are also really cool.

Only saving grace rn is the uncapped FPS.
