Report A Game Bug and Known Issues

This thread is for reporting game bugs to the testing staff of Old School RuneScape. For other game-related or account-related issues, see the pinned Community Posting Guidelines or Frequently Asked Questions threads.

Please provide as much detail about what you were doing before an issue occurred.

Bug Reporting Form

• Please describe the bug. It may be helpful to give details of what you were doing, what happened when you did it, and what you expected to happen instead.
  
• Please describe how to make the bug happen again.

Known Issues

• Noticeable flickers and camera movement when crossing load lines in Fixed Mode. (Note: many instances of this should be addressed and resolved).
  
• Game is noticeably brighter in Steam client.
  
• The Hallowed Sepulchre arrows fired at the player often facing the wrong way.
  
• Occasionally, you might see through the walls of some buildings, especially when zoomed out.
  
• Game client may crash when audio output is physically unplugged.
  
• Some textures displaying incorrectly (e.g. Mahogany tree canopy).
  
• Bridges don't display correctly on the minimap.
  
• Snow effects are displaying incorrectly.
  
• Game client resizes itself when minimised and reopened at the smallest size.
  
• Interface scaling doesn't position the minimenu correctly near the edges of the client.
  
• Text can be difficult to read when UI scaling is active.
  
• Reporting players via the right-click menu is currently broken.

dark lure seems to be broken... sometimes it works but somethings it just sends things running off in some random direction and won't let you re-case because it's "already under the of a dark lure" .

I can't get the game to launch either, All my drivers/dependencies are always up to date (As they always are) I've tried disabling steam overlay, controller support,ect. I've tried compatibility modes for various versions of windows, running as admin, disabling Fullscreen optimizations, and overriding high DPI scaling for application. I'm on the latest "stable" (Quoting stable because its Windows, stability is a joke with A Microsoft made product) version of windows. I've also tried repairing the files using steams scan and repair functionality (there is only 2 files in the folder anyways, the EXE and a steam DLL).

Hey Sween. My steam client isn't launching at all :( I try the play button says running for about 2 seconds then just goes back to giving me the option to try and hit play again. Would appreciate any help.

Hello, an issue I have found with the Steam client has to do with Audio.
In game everything is turned off, alright so lets say I log in and do nothing.
When I unplug my headset (logitech G635/G633s) the steam client tends to "Stop working".
Because of this, I tend to stay on the Original Client or Runelite. Mainly because I don't want to die at corp. (context: My headset requires a micro - usb, and sometimes when its pulled the headset turns off)

When I linked my OSRS account to Steam client it doesn't recognize me as a member. My membership is active and works fine on a manual downloaded client, Runelite, Mobile. Would like to try the official client if it will recognize I'm a member.

The OSRS Steam Client still will not get past "Running," even after the new update.

Please at least acknowledge this issue, I'm not the only one who has this issue. I'm a paying costumer, I want to play the game I pay for members for through my preferred client. I haven't seen anything announcing that it is being worked on, or that Jagex is aware.

I tweeted @ Mod Ash and Jagex Support, and it looks like a couple other people did too. I also submitted a support ticket, so they definitely know it's an issue. Would like the developers to make some statement about the issue though.

The orb of oculus is broken, currently using it causes the screen to turn black.

wont even let me load the game up. just goes black for a sec and shuts down. i've tried all the "fixes" i found online but nothing works.
