Achievement not unlocking

Game is fun and all but after destroying about 4000 barrels after 1 hours of constant grind. I can pretty safely assume that the achievement "Rolling Required Ahead" is not counting properly, which according to internet requires 1000 barrels to be broken.

Would appreciate if some kind of fix would happen one day. No rush ofc it isn't super important bug, just annoying to stupid people like me who like to 100% achievements in games :D

This is the last achievement I have to get before I platinum this game.
But I've probably broke way more than 1000 barrels.

I went to the 3rd stage (the keep), and at the 2nd chair point, there's a room with ten barrels. I went ahead and broke the barrels in the room for about 110 times, seeing as they respawn when using the chair.

That's not counting the fact that I broke every barrel I've seen while playing...

So either the achievement is bugged, or there's a system that does not count the same barrel broken while in a stage.

On a side note, I find it funny that more people beat the 3rd stage than people that beat Varg... According to the achievements % at least.

Did you guys also grind the same spot? Just to see if that might be the reason.

I grinded two different spots myself. First in the 1st stage 1st mission start where you go over two bridges and there is bunch of barrels bunched up together. Second spot was same where you did.

In first spot I grinded around 1500 barrels and second spot around 2500 because I lacked sleep and messed up my counting constantly.

I was recording it so afterwards I just counted how long it took me to make one trip and just counted from my total time how many times I did it. It can be bit off but I can safely say it was way over 1000 barrels in both spots.

Then either it is bugged, or each barrel is counted once per stage, regardless of how many times you make it respawn...

I got it to pop. I farmed the Hermes fortress spot. I'm pretty sure I broke way more than 1000 barrels. I noticed that if I broke the barrels, rested and repeated too quick, the save icon on the top left corner didn't appear when I broke a barrel.

I started resting for about 7 seconds each time I rested and then broke a barrel and looked for the save icon and also started breaking the barrels slower making sure I saw the save icon each time. No idea if the save icon thing means that the barrels are actually being counted or not. But eventually it popped.

That is absurd... But I can confirm that if you break the barrels too fast after resting, there doesn't seem to be a saving icon appearing.
But what, I need to spend 5 seconds per barrel? That is just stupid.

Can confirm achievement works. Manually edited my save file to have destroyed barrel count of 999 then rolled into single barrel and achievement popped.

But I am curious how many barrels the save file says I broke.

Yeah, can't do it.
I've never edited UE4 sav files before. I found the string for the barrels broken, but not the actual integer (or numerical value).
How'd you open it? I want to at least read the number recorded.

I'll break a few more and see how much it goes up.

Yeah, so it's weird.
I broke one barrel, went to chair, and the save file says 2 barrels were broken.
Then I went and broke 10 fast, went to chair... and the save says 1 was broken.
I like the game, but how could they mess a count system up like that..?
I want to be done with it, and it leaves me a bad taste, but I'll just edit it and be done with it.

got it to work guys. very tedious, but i waited for the game to save after every single barrel i broke then sat down to reset the barrels.

Not sure if something happened in past two days but... I went today to try with this "wait for save icon after each barrel" style and after around 300 barrels my achievement popped.

In conclusion the achievement seems to be working somewhat? Or maybe I just got lucky after my massive grind and some semi big number of barrels was saved for me.

Who knows but I am happy for my stupid little internet token in the end
