Corvus Final boss bugged

SO i was fighting the last boss for a while, like a while, and i finally killed it. i was very relieved, that is until i realised it wasnt dead. i had taken off both health bars completely but he didnt stop attacking me. i hit him a few times after there was no health left to be sure but he just didnt die? kinda just hit alt f4 at that point coz that was a HUGE moodkiller. hoping it doesnt happen when i play next
