My Opinion of the game

I played both Elden Ring and Dark Souls 3 before this game, so maybe that has something to do with my opinion however, I do not really like this game, it took me shy of 4 hours to get to the final boss, for it to be a mimic of myself, with more abilities.

This is really lazy design in my opinion, let me state that again, my opinion.

It is a VERY boring boss for me, so much so I don't even have motivation to beat it, I gave it many attempts from pure will power and then lost motivation as the boss is not in the slightest interesting, every boss I fought was pretty fun to go up against, until this final one.

Other than that weird design, I don't hate the game, but I do not love it. 6.5/10 at best IMO

For a budget title it’s solid, odd you struggle with fighting yourself as you should be used to most of the move set to blitz the boss.

I am not used to anything in this game because I had no time to really understand the combat or what I was doing before I had even gotten to the end.

I mean, I COULD beat the last boss, but I refuse to because of what it is, it's boring to me, that is the truth of it, I do not enjoy fighting it, so I don't intend to beat it, weather I can or not

You don’t understand combat, yet got to the final boss? Look the only game you can compare this to is sekiro or Jedi fallen order that use the same combat system. If that isn’t your cup of tea more power to you. Just odd to come that far to not finish the game.

Again, because I found the boss boring to fight. I am not hating on the game, I think it's pretty good overall, but it just the last boss I do not enjoy fighting, and that is my personal opinion, I'm not forcing anyone to take my word as fact that it is boring to play against, because that is ME as a player, not everyone who has ever played this game.

And you are right, I do not understand the combat, I am LITERALLY swinging, using an ability, and timing my dodge as best as I can, dependant on how well I know the boss' moveset. Which was only truly relevant for a couple bosses, sometimes I would parry, but I am not good at parrying in the slightest lol

So maybe it's worth rewording everything slightly:

- I find the last boss boring to fight, and lack reason to beat it, and attempt more.

- I don't really understand how the game plays PROPERLY, like I would with Elden Ring, or Dark Souls 3 (I know they are different, but that only further proves my point that I don't know how to play Thymesia properly)

- I am not a veteran at souls games at all, so my opinion is not to be taken as if I've been playing for years and years.

true it is a very disappointing final boss. I actually thought he was going to have another phase or there was gonna be more, but that's it after that.
