Worth it?

I see this game is on sale for 90%. Is it worth buying? Do people still play it online? Is the single player mode worth it?

i don't test the rollback beta (yet), but the offline game modes are very funny. And is a good sale, for me worth it so much

It's an awesome fighting game held back by awful network game play. Hopefully, the current rollback beta test (happening now. set you game beta settings in Steam) will fix most issues.

If I buy the base game can I upgrade to the full version. I added the base version to my cart, then added the full version and it worked out to an extra 30 cents difference, which isn't a big deal. I have not played this game before, so I would like to try it before buying all of the DLC. Will the upgrade work the same if I buy the base game and decide to upgrade for all of the DLC afterwards if I like it?

Yes, if you buy the base game, you can upgrade to the other DLC bundles at a lower complete-the-bundle price.

It is worth it at the current discount. If it was at a higher price I would have never purchase it, specially when SNK did terrible exclusive deals.

Same here. The price is incredibly low. I am thinking of buying the base version to test the online then upgrade to the full dlc version if I enjoy the game.

dude i'm in the same boat. i'm thinking of getting the base game plus Iroha just as a sample but i feel like i'll end up regretting it and wishing I purchased all the dlc. it's possible to upgrade after buying the base?

i agree, that's a lot of stuff to play around with for the price they're asking for. Especially with rollback getting fully added soon

Is this game significantly better than previous Sam Sho titles? I have the collection already and really love III, IV and V Perfect. VI (the unpopular title with all characters on PSP) too for some reason (but not as much). Those games are fun against the CPU. Online not so much, since nobody is online.

Its not even close to the classic titles, but its not bad overall, still worth buying.

Yeah for its price, it's worth it for solo and local multi. It's an incredibly low price.
