I kind of wish the enemy officers would get trauma from fighting you.
I mean, you kill all their troops down to 0 every battle. Killing thousand while they stand there in horror.
All their bodyguards, and closest subordinates got killed.
Maybe even a friend of theirs that wasn't named got killed by you.
They could at least have some trauma afterwards.
Like wanting revenge at first, but after several battles of complete massacre, they just fear you and never come back.

I've always found it odd that no one is terrified of you, ever. I mean, these guys even see their strongest warriors get flattened en masse before their eyes and it's like... they still think they have a chance? Weird. I think they could panic in DW6, that would be cool to see them do something like that if you kill large groups of people in front of them, or word gets around as the battle goes on that their strongest warriors were defeated. Maybe even make it sort of random, so some soldiers break and react in fear while others face their fear and remain firm in the face of your onslaught, come what may.

Not really. The enemy panic feature was in 6 where common soldiers would scatter when their officer was taken out.

It was used in Warriors Orochi 1 and 2. In those games, defeating their commanding officer or a certain number of their buddies in a short time would cause the soldiers to lose the will to fight. They would even shout "RETREAT" or scream in terror and had two unique run animations as they ran for their lives.

In 8 Empires, it was taken a step further; enemy officers (Musou officers as well) would also retreat to their army's furthest base to recuperate if their health was brought below half. Sometimes even making a statement such as "I need to get out of here before I get killed!". They would even activate Strategems that would help ensure their escape if they had them.

It's a feature that's been in these games for years.

blame warner brothers. they literally own a series of patents for a large number of game systems that together make the nemesis system, and in doing so have screwed the entire video game industry until 2035. they literally CANT have enemies *actually* react in lasting contextual ways because they have to pay WB if they do.
