Because they wanted to sell 1 their lowest effort and trashiest games possibly ever and then go off and celebrate in places unknown.

I hope you guys realize that this game is in FULL RELEASE.

Sure this game could use more content, has potential etc. However they already released this game, now if there were game breaking bugs sure they would be obliged to update it to fix them.

They are working on zelda and fire emblem musou games, and who knows what other unannounced musou game from other IPs.

I would not be surprised if dw9e was a side project.

Zelda, FIre Emblem, and Sword Bois Musou are the major projects right now

however I think Touken Ranbu is already out

I think they are either working on a "one and done" big update that will add some things like co-op and a scenario editor which is taking them some time, OR the game is just abandoned. 8E got plenty of post-release content despite not being a particularly huge hit, so it could really be either.
