Its kinda dumb i agree.
I was wondering this. Towards the beginning of my playthroughs, my kids keep finding me so early on and wanting to talk to me!
When you're successful as a parent, your kids do want to be part of your life.
Now you just win the game, and is guaranteed a child, and you can even chose the gender.
If I did not wait, then no child.
Any ways still beats having to replay same family again and again to see the kid else you just abandon it :( and that just not right
I'd say the way they implement it in DW9E makes much more sense since they even recognize family trees as well. You can use the CAW copy feature to create more siblings with the same gender. And you can even load the parent's cleared save data (which brings you back to the turn before the final battle) to generate the other gender sibling.
