CAW missing/unlockable features?

So I love the Warriors/Musou series, though on a very casual level, but usually prefer any of their Empires versions since I'm a sucker for custom characters.
Having just gotten this game, I can't quite figure out if some things in the CAW are unlockable or just straight up missing, I haven't found much on it yet and figured I should ask before I get the wrong idea (Granted, I am just playing this game with google translate so I may have just missed something entirely cause of it). Are there a lot less clothing options and is there no way to make younger/softer looking male characters?
My main point of reference for this is Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires' CAW, I understand some features may just not be in anymore since they switched to the Nioh character creator (which for me is a major improvement for the faces and general graphics). In DW8E you used to be able to choose between 3 sort of face templates: a softer looking face, a more chiseled one and the one that was kind of a middle ground. Also while layered armour is very cool, the lack of options makes the addition feel a bit pointless to me, especially when a lot of the few options we have are not even chinese clothes.

You're going to have to use a mix of the layered armor to really give people different outfits it seems(JP twitter makes good use of it there) otherwise without deluxe/dlc this is pretty much it seems. It does seem like you can make soft faces, you're probably going to have to really work on the face

If you're getting this to really explore CAW, you're in for a bad time.
