Playing with the bayonet and the pistol to reposition after a gun shot feels very good imo.
I do wish other weapon types (especially unarmed) got more styles, but I'm not surprised the Katana got the most love out of all of them.
But it's chinese. I replayed wolong twice, I'm done with those.
Yea I'll eventually do a bloodborne cosplay and try the rifles and sabres. I did Yakuza on my first run using katana and handguns, really fun.
If you did not play Wo Long with fist and staff build you played it wrong. Only joking ofc
Yea unarmed is super fun, did my first 30 hours unarmed only as a yakuza, but it only has 1 style. Also, the Palm Off skill ruined unarmed for me cuz it's too op.
I only did the sword and glaive. Unarmed felt weak cuz I couldn't parry.
Oh I;m not talking about unarmed I'm talking about the fist weapon that was added in the DLCs. Its was the most fun I have had in a TN game because you could make a full on monk warrior switching between fist and a wooden staff.
Oh I never saw that dlc 😕
Polearm is fantastic, especially when you use the hayabusa staff spin.
Dual blades do amazing guard damage, so great vs shield units.
Odachi's woodcutter is probably the best move in the game for pure pressure.
Bayonet's ability to cause support ki damage is great online, overall, it's a fun weapons.
Oxtail blade is the most pressure heavy weapon in the game for standard movements.
The list goes on. Katana is a great weapon and has the most "Oompf" due to style choices, but all the weapons have viability and the one that has resonated the most with me, is the saber. That damn thing is so fun.
Maybe you didn't read the original post.
I'm talking about mixing styles constantly to create combos.
I don't find as much expression potential in other weapons compared to the katana styles.
Still not getting what you're meaning then. The style swaps are fine on all those weapons, odachi especially. You go from a speedy smack style, to an overall power house that can just put your enemy on the ground almost instantly.
I love draw stance as much as the next person, but there is too much variation in this game to sit on one weapon and or style.
