Whenever Ghost of Yotei releases or whatever that new naughty dog title was named does
Starfield: 330,597
Veilguard: 60,656
Starwars Outlaws: 3,397
Assassins Creed Shadows: 47,509
Avowed: 19,161
Elden Ring: 952,523
Baldurs Gate 3: 875, 343
Space Marine 2: 186,199
people need to realise these arent indie games where 47,000 is acceptable because they are on a low budget.
we are talking 100s of millions of dollars .
1 million sales is only like 70 million dollars after steam takes their cut.
that is underwater.
a bunch of the auto intake crowd bought the game as per usual day one and those numbers fall off fast.
it's the biggest insult to any asian country not just japan. it basically says "yeah it all looks the same over there."
But these are only the figures from Steam. Most people will play it on console or directly via Ubisoft. All in all, there are well over a million players after a few hours.
Shadows has a peak (Steam only) of 41,412 concurrent players
AC Origins didn't have many more players on Steam
These numbers perhaps illustrate this better in comparison..:
- Assassin's Creed Odyssey
all-time peak: 62,069
- Assassin's Creed Origins
all-time peak: 41,551
- Assassin's Creed Valhalla
all-time peak: 15,679
1 million sales is not a good thing. If this was the PS2 era, it would be good. If they were an indie game, it would be good. If the game were AA, then it might still be acceptable.
Thing is, it is a AAA game, and Ubisoft has lost 80% of their value in the last 5 years. 1 million sales means they probably haven't even broke even, and they are in desperate need of a hit game.
Keep in mind, MH Wilds cleared something like 8 million copies almost immediately.
Its always the same BS defense with these people. but but console too.
Ubisoft can come out and say anything they want, the problem is what they say is complete bias with no way to verify what they say is true.
Until we get sales figures from independent sources, I'm not taking Ubisoft's word at all.
So MEH Story
ONE BUTTON Combat
CHECK LIST Open World Map
Yeah, that definitely makes AC Shadows sound better than the other two.
CohCarnage streamed AC Shadows and then dropped it after 6 hours because he got bored.
Biggest indictment anyone could make against that game imo.
Bro working for them 🤣
