Rise of the Ronin

Rise of the Ronin

Statistiche:
Allies seem pointless?
Maybe I don't have a high enough bond or something but all of the allies I have just stand there in combat doing nothing. If I miss a counterspark and I'm getting comboed or run out of Ki they'll just stand there watching me get carved up. Is it just the way it is, or can you make them more aggressive?

That's weird, my allies are attacking the enemies more aggressively than I do, lol!
if you are out of stamina, switch to an ally manually and help your character

This. They allow you to pretty much spam down enemies, since you can deplete your stamina, then switch to an ally and then continue whacking the enemy without giving them time to recover, even as you recover.

Otherwise I mostly treat them as being there to hold aggro from a few enemies when I'm up against larger groups.

Plus there's the whole thing where they can pick you up when you're downed.
Yes, control them - this is a huge mechanic in fights. Almost like a bait and switch - bait with one character - switch to the other for great combo strikes. The tutorial mission at the end fighting the blade master was showing this mechanic.
I find Allies are more a distraction than anything, just taking the heat away from me. Maybe after I have maxed them out in the talents they will be better. I also agree that I should control them but I forget this is even a feature lol
I don't particularly like the ally system in this game. I'd rather have my bossfights be 1 vs 1 affairs.

If I don't bring any allies, will the boss HP and damage scale down or will it just be much harder to solo him?
Don't forget to upgrade them with certain gifts. Yes the difficulty, mainly the hp of the mobs/boss, gets higher based on the number of allies/coop buddies.

Once you get to the black market trader and a checkpoint before a boss, you can go to the checkpoint and remove the allies I think. I'll have to test this now and get back to yah. But whether or not it effects boss dmg/hp, I don't know. I'll also try and pay attention to this, as well.

On the mission where you have to get the camera I whiffed the landing on where you are supposed to go ended up going around from the back. When the boss fight started I went to get the enemies I missed. Ryoma and Gonzo not only held their own, but almost did the entire boss fight without me. I was surprised. The ronin you free at the public orders are also pretty good at holding their own.

So I checked, and if you want to remove your allies before a bossfight so you can 1v1 them, you can. Just visit the checkpoint right before a boss, and click on "select allies", and press X or square to remove them.

But I'm still not sure if removing them changes the balance of the boss's dmg and hp. Gonna try and test that out,
They don't normally do that must be bugged or something. There usually fairly aggressive especially when engaged with an enemy. .
I seldom use Allies.. I found there are a bit annoying for me to combat..🤣 Play in normal dusk level.
Are you joking? Allies are a very unique part of the game, because with in missions you can literally play it like a tag team game.

Not only do some of them have unique moves the player cannot get (like the french shield guy), but it makes boss fights interesting as you can start a combo with one guy, quick switch to another, switch back,...etc.

I'm actually disappointed that they are limited to just missions, as I would love to travel with allies and play as or use them in the open world.

My main annoyance with the allies is that I keep switching to them when I am trying to heal.
