Why is there so many cool movesets that are only playable through NPCs?
Not to spoil anything but there is one NPC you get to play as prety early in the story and hes literally captain america throwing his shield at people lol. Why can't the player use they weapon type/moveset lol.

I am actually impressed at how unique each NPCs movesets are and bosses. It makes me which the player could get some of those moves/weapons and make some cool playstyles.

The whole switch between your CAC and NPC mechanic kind of does throw you for a loop. I never switched that much on PS5 unless I died so I'll have to test it out. I believe NPCs can also give you buffs. I think having Ryoma gives a buff to pistols that sets enemies on fire.

Yeah its actually kind of sick the dealt they put into the side characters. In one mission I had Matthew Perry and the French sword and shield guy. The shield guy played like captain america chucking his shield at people and Perry's finisher knocks the guy up in the air and juggles him with pistol shots lol.

I really like the NPC swapping aspect in the missions, but all it does is make me want to use those full movesets on my character.

It really sucks this game never got DLCs or more weapon styles because all they had to do was pull them from the NPCs to give the player new weapons/stances.

Maybe some modders will be able to mod in those movesets as styles, or at least one can only hope lol.
