How I got great performance (DLSS 4 / Reflex / Swaped DLSS for FSR FG (With Links)

Use something like DLSS Swaper to change DLSS version to 310.2 (DLSS 4) Use something like Optiscaler to adjust the DLSS presets to 'K' (Transfomer 2), set the DLSS to performance in the game. It will look fine and run well. You now can also drop Nukem DLSS to FSR dll into the same directory, which will unlock DLSS FRAME gen option on cards that don't support it, it will use FSR instead of DLSS Frame Gen, which will allow you to use Reflex Boost (on any card) which will help.

This actually helped significantly -- frame pacing issues are gone because I suspect I'm able to hold constant 120fps now. I've noticed in a lot of games lately that FSR 3.1 frame gen has been saving the day for games that run poorly for me (it can, however, look occasionally worse obviously). And I of course have an Nvidia card.

how to get stutter free 120fps with perfect frametime and monitor sync

1. make sure you achieve 60fps on your pc by chosing your preferred upscaler (xess has less performance impact then dlss) and lower/standard settings.
2. chose 120hz on windows display setting
3. ingame settings vsync 120; borderless; fps 60(limit)
4. chose lossless scaling (4a) or optiscaler (4b) for frame gen
4a. LFSG 3.0 ; fixed ; multiplier 2
4b. follow optiscaler installation then chose dlss or xess(preferred for better fps)
and enable frame gen. (check mark: fg hud fix; 2+ limit; fg extended)
5. should have a smooth 120fps frametime with zero stutter.

if youre on low end hardware pretty much just 1080p.
depending what your monitor refreshrate is try to aim for half the fps and let FG do the rest

i.e. 90hz monitor. 45 fps baseline, 45 FG, or if you can hit 60, you can do 40 from lossless scaling. 90/60 = 1.5 multiplier.

So are you saying in this instance Vsync being on in-game is better than forcing it through the NVCP?

I'm getting a black screen when trying the nukem's fg with optiscaler

DSRDL 2.25x + DLSS Quality/Performance (1440p)
Works OK, looks definitely better than just DLSS.
Performance mode is almost butter smooth but lighting is glitchy and looks slightly worse over Quality setting (grass, lighting)
