NVidia App Overlay was causing my jitters\lag
I saw a post on here, that I can't find now, that turning off the Overlay would fix the jitter. I was sceptic, but tried it anyways. I mean I was getting this with a 4090, so why not at least try. Before i did this I turned down the crowds to the lowest setting and still nothing changed. As soon as I disabled the overlay, the jitters and lag were a thing of the past. Amazing, to whomever found this, thank you.

How do you know if Nvidia overlay is enabled? I don't think it's enabled but I 'm not sure

Open the Nvidia app, go to settings, then on the feature tab you should see the overlay option at the top of the list. Just wanted to also say I have terrible stuttering with the overlay on or off.

ermm.. "nvidia app overlay causing lag/ the jittery" is flatout A MYTH ..Make believe ..

Overlay is 100% on all day in every game for me.. Enable or disable that MAKES no difference in bad optimized games..

Performance is mainly game + HW / system dependent ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
