Save file GONE

The other night i closed the game by exiting to the main menu and clicking the quick button, I got one of those error warnings on closing.
Today I hop back on and my save is GONE, I check steam cloud, and it has written me a brand new blank save.
10 hours of progress and 9 zones 100%ed gone, what the actual flip, thats not groovy
