PSA: MAJOR BUG - Kariba Gliding Training Deletes Camera Obscura

I spent a bunch of time today narrowing this down. There might be other missions, but I can confirm 100% that if you do the gliding training in Kariba it will delete you camera obscura and there is no way to get it back.

Why does it do this? I have no idea, but I just tested it 4x in a row and it will absolutely delete your camera.

I haven't even gotten to Kariba, just did the picture mission in the inn for Taka, so it's pinned to my quick menu, but nothing happens when I press the key, checked my inventory and its not in there.

So it seems random when you'll be hit with this bug. Don't even have a prior save to return too.

Yeah that really sucks. There are probably a bunch of things that can cause it. The only thing I can confirm 100% is the gliding mission, if I find others I'll let everyone know.

I have done that training and still got my camera (and it works). So there is something else that triggers it, not just the mission.

Just did a story mission and it deleted the camera. Yeah you might be right. Either way the game is completely unplayable now because you can't progress the story without the camera. Game is 100% bricked now lmao.

It happened to me as well but for me it was during the "When Clouds of Vengeance Part" mission

Which mainline quest requires the camera after "A Pleasure for District Portrait" - the mission where Taka ask you to take pictures in the inn?

Because the next mainline quest that needs the camera obscura is where my game is officially bricked, lol. Hope this get patch, but I reserve no hope, it was present in the PS5 version too, and people just restarted and hope it didn't re-occur.

Mine disappeared right after I did the photo taking mission with Taka at the brothel. I had to reload a save and lost 4 to 5 hours of progress. I just re-did the Taka mission and I still have the camera but I make like 8 back up saves every hour or so just to be safe. I'm about to do the Kariba gliding challenge and I'm gonna back up some more saves just in case. This glitch was also reported on the PS5 last year. I never experienced it until now.

I got given a bow after doing the horse archery training and it never appeared

It happens for me too, right after the first gambling mission with Takasugi.
It got deleted right after the fight on the exiting the building.
Damn...

I'm looking at how to right now, but if anyone knows please tell us! This is a massive gamebreaking bug, I can't progress anymore because the missions require a camera that is gone lol.

They really need to fix this ASAP.

Just tested offline and Kariba mission still deletes the camera.

Their drop down menu is pretty stupid, make sure you select PC/Steam>Steam. Please tell them to fix this bug as it is absolutely game breaking and you can't continue the main story.
