now thats kinda funny tbh
so, i was getting over 130 fps ( with frame gen ofc fake fps ) and i noticed the game running weird, and at first i was like, cool its framegen ill just turn that off, fps dropped to like 80-90, im like ok, not the worst thing in the world, but i noticed it was still weird and it hit me, this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game has unlocked fps, and if you arent getting locked 120 fps or locked 60 fps, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing runs in slow motion, so getting 80 fps makes my character run slower lol, i had to actually lock the fps to 60 to make it stop, thats pretty funny...

It's the "nature" of the katana engine, it was for some reason built for fighting games like DOA (even though it was first used in Dynasty Warriors), meaning they prioritized frame perfect attacks with no frame skipping and so on.

This means that the game has a fixed frame target and if it can't maintain it, it will just run slower. It's been like that for all of the games on this engine, of course as they go further and try to cram more features and "graphics" it runs worse and worse exposing the shoddy design of the engine, making the problem more pronounced.
