NG twilight got to easy

I'm in Edo, but doing the side content made me incredibly overleveled. Continuing with the game, can i make it so I die faster or something? This is just my first playthrough, but I would like to not rush or skip content to avoid being op

If you're enjoying going at your own pace and doing all the side content, just keep doing so. The best way to challenge yourself is going to be playing more aggressive and risky, which if you like the combat, is incredibly fun and rewarding. Midnight mode does up the damage and aggression to the quick and lethal levels where the RPG stats aren't nearly as important as your mechanics though, so I wouldn't worry about being over-leveled for that. You'll be able to use all the excess Skill Points you'll probably have before you finish your playthrough once you unlock Midnight to really start enjoying it right away.

I've just unlocked Midnight. I died more times playing 1h in Midnight than in 50h in Twilight. The game is now a parry simulator.

Certain skill combo can beat majority of bosses without any parry at all.

The game only becomes harder after you reach Midnight difficulty but even at Midnight difficulty only certain missions and ally missions are hard to clear(if you try solo). Achieving master rank at dojo from some characters is also hard.
