I got it that why this game is not an Open-World game
The so called the open world is the big map has no any relationship with every single mission quest, all the quests happened in a sub-map and all the locations of the quests are off the big map, so what we do with this open world map is collect some items and this map this open world didn't concern anything critical to the object, that's why. So this open world map is totally unnecessary.
For example, there's a man or a key hide in the map at somewhere needs you to find to access the quest, that would be better. And the location of the quest should be right on the map where you may decide to go in to trigger the quest or just passing by until you are ready. So basically this is still a japanese style card game and everything launch in the longhouse off the big map.

Except for maybe 2-3 story missions + the prologue, all missions happens on closed off part of the open world. Not in sub maps.

None of the open world games are open world.

Open world means no level blockout, doesn't mean it's an immersive sim.

The fact that you have to mandatory play the story to unlock gameplay styles and options contradicts the phrase open world.

This game would've been perfect if it had the world structure of Way of Samurai: several areas connected in a logical manner.
