There is a program to do a memory bad sector check, do that - I once was crashing due to the end of the ram stick being damaged.
You can do a similar bad sector check for the drives.
And do a stress test of the CPU - since the game uses a lot of CPU power, it could also be the culprit.
All hardware in my PC has been checked for faults, so it's definitely a software issue & specifically this game causing it.
Doesn't matter. Windows will record the reason and attach it to the event data. Just start up event viewer and search for this crash.
You'll either see a timestamp for when you pressed the power button (I guess that's not likely) or additional bug check codes that give you the actual error message.
If none of those exist its your hardware (most likely power supply or overheating).
It's neither of those, I've been playing other games all day with no crashes, it's this game. I already posted the error code I get in event viewer. If I only crash when playing one game it's not a coincidence.
Did a CHKDSK test on my drives, did a memory test for bad sectors on my Ram. All of that came back normal.
People need to stop defending poor CPU optimisation and blaming faulty hardware.
Sorry if it sounded like I did, in fact I find it fairly poorly optimized as well. just wanted to say that software can't really cause this particular error. So you probably should keep an eye out for that.
Dude, you're still arguing when the evidence is overwhelming that it is this game.
1. Played 5 other games today to verify and none of them caused my PC to crash.
2. The only time my PC has crashed in the last 24 hours was when I was playing Rise of the Ronin. There are also posts on the Rise of the Ronin reddit from people on PS5 who said this game made their PS5 hard crash, and even one comment from a user on PS5 Pro who said this game caused their brand new PS5 Pro to hard crash (and didn't in any other game).
Also yes a Kernel Power 41 error can be caused by software, because it's a very generic error that just means something caused your PC to restart without closing down correctly.
As per Windows support article, if software causes your cpu to hit 100% and overheat, Windows will crash and the PC will restart.
Try downclocking your cpu. If you're lucky it will run again and not damage the cpu further
AMD Ryzen but it is overclocked yes. Still don't think it's hardware as I've again checked the event viewer in Windows and the last 24 hours it's crashed just once, and that was when playing Rise of the Ronin.
Played Medieval Dynasty, Dead by Daylight, Trials of Mana, Dreamlight Valley, to see if the PC would crash again - none of those games crashed.
I will keep checking the event viewer but if it stays at one crash then I think I can safely say it's this game.
Not even one single stutter.
Might be time for you (and probably 50% of negative steam reviews) to accept games are getting demanding as hell and you can't expect your hardware to run everything.
That's got nothing to do with why I'm crashing.
