I hope once I get into NG+ I can find something worth grinding for and building around.
Now that the honeymoon phase is over I think Wo Long is still my favorite game overall. Had better loot and combat imo
Nioh 2 > Strangers of Paradise > Rise of the Ronin > Nioh 1 > Wo Long
Of course Ninja Gaiden at the top.
Is the combat amazing? Or are the builds you can make amazing?
I'm sure since it's a TN game, it probably is a great game. But it just hasn't 'clicked' for me yet, and I dunno why.
Matchless Master 1p
Mighty Warrior 1p
Marvelous Sword saint 2p
Commanding Champion 1p
i'd bet 90% of people that played Nioh use the above in conjunction with the endgamesets, there is an incredible amount of power in just having 1setpiece as opposed to needing 6.
The biggest winner in general is the endgame set which automates Blade Flash on Switch Attack and on 4p is just straight up Versatility from Susano set on style switch.
The variety might be less but the amount you can fit into a single build is very noticeable.
That being said, i found the endgame not very fun with the accessory farming in particular.
Maybe i'm just spoiled by lucky drop accessories Underworld farm but the savescum, bossfarm with garbage droprates with a low % chance to have set bonus is just not very good imo.
i was in the boat of having a free accessory with mighty warrior + ferocious from farming, 10% damage reduction isn't a selfnerf particularly when you solo double bosses and eat random attacks from offcamera.
Man. Is savescumming a big thing in this game? ..I really don't that. You know that the devs are people just like us, and when they play a game, they might look back and think "That was an awesome boss fight. I wish I could just play the boss fight without having to spend 30 minutes running through the mission to get to 'em."
So I just don't get why that is not an option in more games like this in this day and age.
And I know you technically CAN re-fight the bosses, but I'm referring more so to the loot grind. I just don't get why they'd make us play through an entire mission, just to get to a boss, and not get what we need and then expect us to repeat that over and over and over. It's not fun, man!
Anyways, is that a big problem in this game? I'd like to actually make some cool endgame builds, but I don't have time for 3 hour grind sessions for one piece.
