Finally finished the game
After nearly 60 hours, I finally completed the game on hard mode. I got almost 100% completion, except for about three side missions. The combat is definitely the best part, especially the boss fights in the final section. Some of them, like Ryoma, Okita, Yamagata & Ito, and Saito, took me several attempts to learn their attack patterns; especially the last one, who does an insta-kill if the final hit of his 3 charged sting attack lands.

Strangely, I found the final boss way too easy, which was a bit disappointing. The previous fight (the third one I think), where she imbues his weapon with lightning, was much harder.

Nothing more to add, I’d give the game a solid 9/10. The only thing I didn’t like is that if you die too many times, the game constantly asks if you want to lower the difficulty

How does everything work for you?! Share the secret!
I have stable crashes, crashes, and computer reboots. And not to say that the computer is weak.

I have a rtx 4070s, 32 gb ram, ryzen 5 7600
My graphic settings in game are high and normal for textures, dlss and frame generation is on quality (I can play with 120 fps all the time).
I've never had a crash or lost my progress. Never had any issue with the game at all.
When I change to all ultra settings my fps drops to 75
36 hours in the 2nd region. I'm exploring and doing some sides, taking it slow. I like the game, don't love it but I'll play it as much as I can.
What I'm wondering is the replay value. Is there any incentive to play the game past completion like other titles ?

Answer.
Midnight difficulty unlocks after you beat the game, which regenerates the world with enemies and loot. The loot quality goes up to master work, which can have two set bonuses on a piece of armor/weapon. Enemies are more aggressive and don't stay panicked a long time. Bosses get new moves and formidable enemies in basic camps, are replaced with bosses sometimes. My first formidable in yokohama on one of the lowest camps, was izo for instance and no, he wasn't toned down xD. You get 4 new styles and you get breakthrough stats as well.

I see so there is a proper ng+ cycle at least.

I am notorious for that, no shame. I will double or triple an average time to beat on a game I get in to because im busy figuring out every little thing and trying to self nerf to make the game harder. 40 hours and just got to 2nd continent. It means your having fun. If I am ever on track to beat a game in an average time I will 100% probably not even get halfway through because I will get bored.

Well, I finished at 160 hours and just entered Midnight. I am 'slow' to finish campaigns in general, but with TN games, I really take my time; I spend a lot of time practicing weapons and the like. I tried to explore as much as possible too, which was super fun. I have 1600 hours in Nioh 2 and have a fresh start character I'm playing right now (number 4 fresh start), I feel like I could sink several hundred hours into RotR easy.

NOTE: It took me about 40 hours just to get the 'perfect' K&M binds. Seriously, I love getting to super optimized (I sort of copied my Nioh 2 K&M binds, super effective, very little finger / hand movement)

I see you're a man of culture as well, didn't remember how many hours did I put in Nioh 2 I just remeber that I reached depths of the underworld level 11 (and couldn't beat it XD) maybe around 450 hours (I lost that steam account).
