How to run rise of the ronin and any game well.
Stop playing games at 4k.

its that simple.

i still play at 1080p and have no issues.

FYI if you are sitting close enough to make 4k worth it then you are ruining your eyes.

actual science behind what im saying.

He's correct regarding optimal screen size and resolution. There are three factors to consider when choosing a size and resolution for a monitor or TV.

First is the viewing distance, or how far your eyes will typically be from the screen. This will vary for each person based on where they sit relative to their monitor.

Second is the Viewing Angle or Arc, which means how wide the monitor is compared to the natural human peripheral vision cone. Having a wider monitor than the natural vision cone will require more scanning from side to side with the eyes, which will cause eye fatigue over time, potentially contributing to eye degradation.

Third is the Visual Acuity, or pixel density that is perceptible by the human eye. This can vary based on a person's eyesight performance.

Maybe there is a fourth factor relating to neutral focal depth, but I haven't seen anything about that.

There is a useful calculator here: http://www.hometheaterengineering.com/viewingdistancecalculator.html

I prefer to use the SMPTE standard for viewing arc because they seem to be more engineering-based and not like THX that may have a conflict of interest on theater equipment.

Basically, at 3 feet viewing distance, the calculations show that 24" @ 1080p (16:9) is the ideal monitor size. If you have significantly better eyesight than 20/20, you could consider going to 1440p at the same viewing distance and screen size. More than that and you are either wasting money on higher pixel density than you can actually perceive, or you are potentially straining your eyes on a wider monitor than you should be using based on your viewing distance. If you prefer the THX standard, then you could argue that 27" @ 1440p with 3 feet viewing distance is optimal.

If your eyesight is worse than 20/20, then you might be wasting even more money for a higher pixel density monitor.

Also the human mind only uses 10% of its power at any one time, so actually you can only see 6 fps at any one time, 3 per eye. Probably 2 if you’re blinking too much.
Im getting over a 100 fps at 720p , just lower your resolution and you will be fine
agreed but a lot of games have forced TAA and 1080p is not visually built for it , they don't add effects based on 1080p no more and you end up seeing a lot of screen door effects at lower resolutions :(

XDDDD

I played it on release and it was the hottest garbage that ever existed. Still is. CP2027 is garbage.
