With my extreme bias against GoT with its onslaught of cutscenes, I would choose Ronin over GoT if given the choice.

Having played GOT but looking at screenshots and videos this game looks a lot better visually. Combat is also much more comlex.

This may be a controversial take, but I like RotR's combat more. I do think GoT has a better story, has better visuals. However; the two games both scratch a different itch for me. GoT, to me kind of fulfills the Assassin's Creed niche since it's more AC than AC has been in several iterations. RotR on the other hand, kind of plays like Sekiro is a lot of ways. The combat is stylish and visceral, and the timing of attacks to parry is more satisfying than the posture mechanic of Sekiro. I think they're both quite good and Sekiro is still very good. Each just occupy their own little micro niche with some overlap with one another.

I mean if you already beat GoT then why not play this? It a "new" game, kinda no point to go back and play GoT again.

I don;t think that's controversial. Combat is better in RotR it's just harder to master.

I recently beat Ghost of Tsushima and I have to say... the combat becomes WAY too simple and easy

Just parry and attack or spam heavenly strike
Literally just heavenly strike everything

Rotr definitely has player choice and customisation.

You can make a character you want to play, customise them, change their clothes and weapons, pick different styles ect.

I don't remember tsuchima having much of that.

Tbh all ghost actually had over it is graphics.

Ghost of Tsushima is a different sort of game all together. People need to stop comparing games based on superficially similar aspects. Ronin and Ghost, while yes, both being "open world action games" taking place in Japan have completely different design mentalities to their core world and game design on every aspect and take place in very different eras of Japanese history with very different mindsets and strife among the common people and ruling class. You should not play Ronin as a replacement for Ghost and vice versa, both have their own merits.

They are both open world action RPGs with a focus on Japanese history, and samurai combat styles. They are 100% comparable.

I would even add AC:shadows to this comparision, and from my opinion Ghost is at the bottom at that list because I hated the simplistic gameplay.

Ghost is a better game, better story, better graphics. But.. ronin have better gameplay.

I love Ghost and Ronin.

Ghost has a better and more cohesive story and way better consistent acting. Ronin feels like a comedy show from time to time.

Ronin has way better gameplay. Tight and responsive combat and more RPG elements to build you character.

As for graphics, Ronin isn't a looker compared to Ghost but visually they bring a lot more to the table about the culture than the romantic pretty leaves and color of Ghost. They have actual cities in Ronin, which is a lot harder to render than just forest with a temple or villages with 5 houses. But on a technical level Ghost is better.

It's better, but if you want a different experience, you should try both games, why not?

No, absolutely no.ghost is better than it every side. Graphic, stroy...

GoT is better in everything except being a videogame. You can't even skip cutscenes. Just 1 weapon and no character customization.

Nioh 2 is no doubt the best of all :D

Tsushima is very repetitive, not saying this one isn't but at least in this game you have different weapons and fighting styles.
