But yeah it runs great for me.
The thing is there are so many variables with a PC and even on paper someone might think they have a decent PC but something could cause issues or bottle necks.
Also there is a huge huge issue with people this generation not having any understanding about configuring settings for their specific system or who are for some reason unwilling to lower settings or use upscaling.
4K is already a huge demand on resources. Its a massive amount of pixels vs 1440p. Nearly 4X as many. Same with doubling frame rate to 120fps. It pretty much doubles certain resources needed. It blows my mind when you see people complaining about games but the same people also aren't prepared to lean on all this amazing tech that is designed to allow them to achieve resolutions or frame rates that is incredibly difficult for even the best card to render at in real time especially with raytracing.
So yeah while there are people with low spec or poorly maintained PC there are far more who just don't understand PC gaming is also about tinkering and optimising a the user end.
Back in the day it was exciting when games launched with max settings that were nearly impossible to hit successfully on current gen hardware - but you could fiddle around and try and push your PC to its limits. It was awesome that the game could scale up. These days i feel like people whack everything up to the max and don't even think.
Cuz i got a slightly better setup than yours but im 100% not gonna pay money for a 60fps capped game
wiht those specs its supposed to be around 80+ At lowest cases
I'm sorry but that is a strange thing to say, in my opinion. If you care that much about 120+ fps I hope you upgrade your GPU every year.
I see you are playing WIlds, this game will perform better than that.
Hi. Also got a better rig than OP playing on the same settings. My screen is 240 hz and unfortunately I only see a 120 fps cap which is half of what it should be. I have no idea if I can set it to 240 somehow but I don't see it as an option.
It's also funny because at locked 60 frames it runs perfectly fine but if I set it to 120 my frames go all over the place at certain times or maybe stuttering is a better description. Almost like the game engine can't keep up with the hardware. It could be because the game was originally released on the PS5 and Koei isn't exactly known for good PC ports.
They have a decade old mentality at Koei if they think a 120 fps cap is fine. 60 fps is choppy as hell if your eyes aren't used to it and we shouldn't have to play on a low framerate like that to get stable performance.
That being said the game is really good so if you want to you can either lock your frames at 60 or just try to ignore the stutters at 120. They will hopefully patch it soon.
Oh that's a bummer. Thank you for clarifying.
If your rig cannot maintain an ABSOLUTE locked solid 120fps, then every single dip will really, really show. The framepacing especially is hard timed to the framerate so if you set it to 120fps but cannot maintain it, ho boy it will CHOKE.
That being said, the 60fps framepacing is so perfect that it feels literal butter.
Like NG2B, you're best just leaving things on 60fps here as unlike other games, you probably won't notice any difference coz of the way the game is designed completely around that framerate.
rocking rtx 4090 /9800x3d/ 64gb 6000mhz cl30 expo ,using high settings preset with some options like ambient occlusion on low ,motion blur off ,Ray tracing on ,dlss/frame gen quality on , and i get a solid 120fps .small dip every 20-30mins so far to 117 then back to 120fps literately for a brief moment.
Everybody crying about performance is mining bitcoin in the bg or something, or their pc is just 10 years old
