You buy Team Ninja games on PC only with the intention to support them and their families.
As someone new to Team Ninja games who just picked up the new NG2 black release, Team Ninja may want to change this perception in 2025.
High end PC cards are more ubquitous today than before, which means a higher proportion of customers will be peeved to see these unoptimized, full priced games - and Team Ninja has now done this twice in just the first quarter of 2025. I returned NG2 black after 20 minutes using a 4090. Plenty of other optimized games out there, and my library will just have one fewer ninja game at the point.
The 060 series cards have ALWAYS been the ones most users have and should be the target point for playability purposes. the xx90 class cards make up less than 1% of userbase and always have. Artificial scarcity, AI farms, and scalpers have done wonders to misrepresent just how in-demand those cards actually are for gamers.
for first tutorial and ship was fine on my 4060ti and i911900, mostly all high + dllss on quality. will see how it goes in open world.
I'm running a fairly mid range rig here - Intel Core i7-11700F and 3070 - and fps dips down to 30-40 in some areas of the open world while being stable 60 (locked) in others. It's pretty okish in the wilderness but get anywhere with more geometry and/or npcs and it plumets.
With framegen it's stable and playable, but too unpredictable to risk playing without.
One other thing that bothers me greatly is how bad the sea looks. It's ugly and smears in the distance without framegen, and with framegen it gets so bad you acutally can get seasick (pun intended).
This really needs to be fixed because it borders on runing an otherwise fantastic experience.
4090 here and it's a mess. Bad bait.
Stop listening to these "it runs fine for me" liars. It's been widely reported how bad it's running. There's so much misinformation in these posts.
Get a job and maybe you can have nice things too instead of being a bad steam troll.
