I've noticed there's a 'Body Type A' and 'Body Type B' in the character creator. There are claims that the player character is referred to with 'they/them' pronouns instead of 'he/him' or 'she/her'. Is that true?

Finally, I got answers to my two questions. I kind of suspected it was true, given how many people were pissed off about it. So, to summarize: Yes, the character creation includes body type nonsense, which I saw in a YouTube video. And apparently, it’s also true that we’re referred to as "they" during game dialogues. You can argue it’s for monetary reasons, but that doesn’t make it okay with me—it’s still enough to stop me from buying the game. Maybe if there was no body type nonsense, I might consider it, but with that crap included, it’s too much.

I saw tons of people whining that I made this post just for points, but I don’t care about the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ points. I’ve spent more points than I’ve gained anyway, and I think Steam should ditch the point system because idiots use it as an excuse to dodge real questions.

And to wrap it up, for the record, I did get banned by Steam Support (maybe some of you saw that). It was some kind of warning, and I only got banned from this game’s forum. Maybe they didn’t like some jokes I cracked about Canadians—I’m not mad about it, it’s fine. But I want to thank the studio, even though I don’t buy into their nonsensical ideologies for this game, for not banning me and for letting people speak freely.

Thanks to everyone who tried to answer and had my back—you’re solid guys. And also, thanks to all the clowns on this forum—you all made me laugh xD

Hey, I'm not gonna judge and I've used similar mods in the past. Who cares what others do with their games or their money? If the game was filled with out of place characters and 2025 US demographics I'd mod that ♥♥♥♥ out but thankfully it's not.

It seems a little sensitive to me to avoid it just based on body type nonsense in the character creator but each to their own.

I would indeed download a mod that restores Male and Female. I would never play BG3, not even if you paid me to do so.
