I don't even wanna download this for free.
congrats on preventing piracy I guess?

Why aren't 4K/8K textures and non EN/JP voice pack downloadable contents?
I don't need all that bloated garbage

That's an interesting way to look at it :ThinkingYellowFace:

I agree though... 180gb is ridiculous.
you can ask the same thing for a lot of games nowadays, 180 is big, but we have some games which are also close to this by size. God of War Ragnarok for example.
total ♥♥♥♥, yea
Optional 4K texture packs have truly become a lost art for devs...
Funny thing is textures is one of those things that have gotten worse over time. FF7 Rebirth is 140gb but it has psp level textures
I'm surprised there hasn't been more complaints about this. 180gb is ridiculous.
Kingdom Come Deliverence 2 is 80GB.
30 GB = voice pack (6 lang)
this ♥♥♥♥ is insane
how big do you think is this game's voice pack (8 lang full audio)
4K/8K textures are probably over half the size (90GB+)

I hate bloated modern games so much

180gb is tame when you consider there are games out there nearly close to 300gb.
Yeah 180 is annoying but also makes me wonder how big the game is in regard to side content. The open world size for each area combined is about 27 square kilometers while Ghost of Tsushima is 28. However I read that the 27 sq kilometers does not include the country side so it's actually a bigger map and unlike Ghost there are a lot of things to do in the urban areas like bounty hunting, solving crimes, brawling, interacting with companion npcs collecting things etc.

I don't think the language packs are the main culprit. Its a big game with a layered clothing system and a lot of the content of the game is a mystery to me because everyone I watched play seems to just b-line the story and then complain after skipping all the good stuff. That's like playing rdr2 without ever visiting the trapper or doing any of the open world activities.

ps5 size is like 90-100 gb, so it's probably 4k/8k textures + different file system due to the port may be.

It would be nice if 8k textures were a separate download. Most people will probably play at 1440p - 4k. But it is nice that they future proofed this game by including 8k.
