You are no arbiter of truth, but a zealot of your own delusions, you have no sway over anyone, negative sway if anything.
I am true anan fan
Dude you need to just stop. Your whining is embarrassing. Ronin didn't sell well because it went up against Dragaon Age and it was PS exclusive. The other factors were no demo for people to feel it out and annoying Nioh fans crying that it wasn't Nioh. Oh no it had difficulty settings so more people could play the game. So did SOP. The game can be as difficult as the player wants. The open world was fine. I would say they just shouldn't do it too often with their games. Interesting to see Wo Long revisionism, now that Ronin is coming out. Wo long had issues that went beyond it's technical issues and veered into it's design choices at least for me it did. I think there will probably technical issues on launch, but I think Ronin will end up being received better than Wo long was.
I will buy it in March.
But you do eventually get to be able to stance dance, and you can build your own custom combo by doing things like R1+T (hold) T, R1+S S S, R1 + X and linking that to a combo in another stance with a violent gale or basic combo in the same/another stance.
The combat opens up once you're able to get 3 stances per weapon, and the styles up to at least intermediate for the 3rd skill (advanced upgrades the 3rd skill and master allows you to take the 3rd skill from any mastered style and make it the 4th skill on a different mastered style.)
3 intermediate styles per weapon helps open the combat up a lot, and mastering the styles opens it up even more.
But the beginning of the game really tries to boil the combat down into something that it isn't. And you don't stance dance until you decide to ignore the whole advantaged/disadvantaged mechanic - which is ironically the mechanic that helps you stagger the enemies for longer combos...
It sounds more ridiculous than it is.
But like - yes - the combat gets way better.
I'll gladly enjoy this game instead
I'm not a fanboy of any company, if they stop making games that I am interested in then I will simply move on to the other companies that will take their place.
As far as this game is concerned it just looks like a better Wo Long combat-wise. I loved Wo Long so I'm getting this as well.
I thought Wo Long was harder in the higher difficulties and especially dlcs than Nioh 2. The humans especially you couldn't just permastun them like in Nioh.
Simpler gameplay doesn't mean casual. DMC 5 has extremely complex combos, more so than any team ninja game and it's still more casual than all of them.

To OP: I will pre-order this game 1 hour before release.
I ain't never trusting you ever again.
NG is still faster than nearly 90% of action games nowadays, and especially against any games that carry the Souls dodge/parry gene.
