it's 100% a DEI thing that came in from US California censors (hello Sony California) putting pressure to change male/female to Body Type A/B for years now
If even the Dragon Quest creator says its absurd but they had to comply, you know its NOT a Japanese thing, its being -applied- to Japanese Developers from outside
They are probably "Fine, have your body types, leave us alone. it doesn't matter anyway"
Took it off my wishlist and slapped onto ignore.
Masc - Fem
Body 1 - Body 2
Body A - Body B
So on, and so forth, please tell why I should care or be offended? We all know the genders are male and female, so what are the implications and how it effects the game?
We seemingly don't, because the mere notion of -seeing- male and female causes certain activists to foam at the mouth and demand changes to Body Type A and B (which has infiltrated a chunk of games due to tolerance 'just give them what they want' interactions until now)
If the activists want 'representation' (which is an absurd demand in FANTASY, but running with that idea anyway), who does Body type 'A' and 'B' represent if everyone on this planet is either Male or Female in sex and the rest is 'expression'??
