I can't speak for Rise on PS5, but Ghost was so boring to me, I gave up after 5 or so hours. I don't play games for pretty visuals and shallow combat.
So this is the open world samurai game I have been looking for for a while.
RotR is an open world souls like game with lots of customization and rpg elements and full character creation, transmog and lots of weapons and GoT is an open world action rpg with a fixed protagonist with one main weapon and bows and some gadgets and armor sets that don't fit the time period it takes place in.
GoT feels more like the old school AC games as far as stealth and combat. I platinumed it on ps4 when it came out but it's pretty limited in scope compared to what you can do in Rise of the Ronin. RotR is more true to the time period it takes place in as far as clothing and armor and weapons. GoT takes place in the 13th century but somehow you can wear armor from Sengoku and Edo Japan. I enjoyed the world and story but after you have platinumed the game it's not fun to play again because there is no real customization. You just level up and collect everything and there are no alternative ways of playing.
Rotr has more replay value because of the character creator and all the different armors and weapon types and styles. There are many possibilities for builds.
In comparison to Ghost:
This game's way harder and the combat's more the focus.
This game's wayyy uglier than Ghost.
So overall, a more hardcore ugly Ghost, I'm curious if the pc version will run better as on launch the game STRUGGLED to load things on the ps5.
