I don’t have any problem with performance right now, but I know there is a lot of complaints about this.
It's not up to ''next gen'' standards but new games are not the only ones that look nice anyway. As far as their other games go I'd say this looks the best besides maybe the character models.
It doesn't.
The PS3 era had a lot of gorgeous looking games, Ronin is just ugly, plain and simple.
They were trying to make a game that looks like a Sony first party title and completely botched it due to lack of expertise or lack of budget.
The fact that it runs so bad is just the cherry on top.
They used an engine used to make action games in small areas to make an open world game (Katana engine), same problem that Capcom has with the RE engine. I think it calculates the physics of too large areas all at once and the engine does not have a system to manage it intelligently
It takes a while to get into the combat and the world but once you hit the first city and start doing side quests and just exploring the world I can't put the game down.
Are you okay?
It's crazy how people's standards are so low these days.
Like I get it if someone says I don't care about the looks, only the combat loop, but to say that the game looks great is really weird as if we don't all see what the game looks like.
