Am I stuck with this stupid second character?

I'm more dissapointed that I created a nice looking second character to have him for 15 mins...

Also, as far as I know, you will get other guys following you who take the place of that second character. Not sure though.

I somehow got confused during creation and thought that my character had reset, not that I was creating the twin. I'm so glad I didn't notice that and wasted time on it. Sorry that you did bud.

One of the two characters you create will be unavailable for the rest of the initial playthrough starting in the middle of the prologue. You choose which one. Throughout the game, though, you make bonds with NPCs that take the place of your Blade Twin at your discretion as you aren't required to bring them except for certain story missions. Part of the game is leveling up those bonds to make the NPC stronger, but you can largely ignore the mechanic if you'd like. You don't need it to beat the game.
