Am I stuck with this stupid second character?
I want him gone. I only want to play one character not two.

One of the two characters you create will be unavailable for the rest of the initial playthrough starting in the middle of the prologue. You choose which one. Throughout the game, though, you make bonds with NPCs that take the place of your Blade Twin at your discretion as you aren't required to bring them except for certain story missions. Part of the game is leveling up those bonds to make the NPC stronger, but you can largely ignore the mechanic if you'd like. You don't need it to beat the game.

Even that feels too long, but at least I won't have this stupid second character for the whole game.

I'm more dissapointed that I created a nice looking second character to have him for 15 mins...

Also, as far as I know, you will get other guys following you who take the place of that second character. Not sure though.

They better be optional.

If it isn't a CRPG I don't want more than one playable character.

Instead of immediately going to the forums why don't you continue playing and see what happens

Because I don't want to play if it forces me to play with multiple characters?

I somehow got confused during creation and thought that my character had reset, not that I was creating the twin. I'm so glad I didn't notice that and wasted time on it. Sorry that you did bud.

God forbid someone has preferences and individual desires when it comes to their expensive hobby.
