Setting Anisotropic filtering to off added 40fps (from 80 to 120)
Kinda shocking, but it looks like turning of anisotropic filtering added 40 fps. GPU is 7900 GRE.

If that is true, then there is a bug of some kind that needs looking into. AF is usually a setting that has minimal to no noticeable impact. I wonder if this is specific to that card/driver, or if the game is just really messed up right now.

I'm glad you found a 50% FPS boost for yourself.
Hmm, this did seem to significantly improve things for Yokohama with my 3060ti
Edit: Some areas still struggle, but it's still an improvement

How interesting, this helped me as well. Able to get a solid 60 with DLAA on at 1440p/Ultra/RT On in Yokohama with this(9800X3D/4070 Ti Super.) I ended up forcing Anisotropic filtering on at the driver level and disabling it in game to get the benefit of texture filtering without whatever weird overhead the game is adding to it.

Nice find.

hey friend we meet again. How can you get such low fps? I have 7800xt and 120fps first big city.

I do use frame gen but everything is responsive as should be.

Not using framegen, FPS is locked at 60 (it's closer to 70-80 unlocked, but the dips make it REALLY distracting when they do happen) and DLAA is not the same as superscaling. It's basically AI antialiasing at native res. Responsiveness isn't an issue at all. With frame gen, it'd be at 120fps, but I don't want the extra latency no matter how small.

Edit: For reference, at DLSS Quality, the FPS in Yokohama is around 90-100 without framgen.

same here, but with frame gen on i get 120 and honestly the game feels amazing and responsive. to each his own I guess.
This definitely helps

You are savior!!
Can anyone explain why disabling AF improves framerate massively? This wasn't an issue in Nioh or Wo Long.

Probably a configuration issue, the setting might be adjusting something it isn't supposed to

It works!

Big thank You :ojigi: youre life saviour

Yeah it works, but it's one of those games where stable 60 feels like 30-40, so it still feels awful.
