I wish more games were like this. Another thing they went all out with are gestures. I saw one where you can sit down and play an instrument or nonchalantly smoke or drink.
I know TN excels in SP-focused titles but is it realistic to expect from them that they would step up their game by incorporating MP mechanics into their games at some point? Because they seem to have a keen eye for details overall. With Ronin, they are pushing the narrative and world-building aspects. I am curious as to whether gestures will have any practical uses in the game and how far they would like to expand this potential. It'd be a pity if the animations for it would only be there as an eye candy we cannot utilise them in any other way.
Also, is TN a good listener?
I'm not sure if the gestures will have practical use this time but they did in Nioh 2. Team Ninja add a lot of accessibility options to wo long and nioh 2 post launch so it seems like they listen to fans
How big are the maps? It looks massive
Its just random. Before I bought it on PS5 they had a demo I had tried that I put about 4 hours into and I had I think 3 armor sets I had found but maybe 5 or 6 weapons, with maybe 10% of that being a rare drop. Its nowhere like Nioh level loot but you do need to pray to RNGesus
It makes sense that there isn't a lot of armor because it is the Bakumatsu period. I've watched a lot of people play and they seemed to pick up a lot of clothes consistent with the time period. Or did you mean armor as in stats?
There are quite a few videos of people recreating characters from Rurouni Kenshin and they look spot on. That is my favorite live action anime adaption. If anyone reading hasn't watched I highly recommend watching while you wait for the game to launch.
You meant the OG, right: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0182629/
And also this one? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0203082/
No I meant the live action movies but yeah also worth watching the originals. The OG 1996 anime is harder to find because of expired rights in some locations.
The Media Blasters 1996 version: Absolute Fire
The Sony Version: An absolute abomination and belongs at the bottom of the sea
