Yall are entitled to your own opinions. Honestly i think its just a game and it doesnt really change much, as long as they dont put pride and _lm all over the place im sure the game is going to look just fine.

I get why people specifically dislike SBI, I mean I no fan of the idea of forcing certain aspects into a game under threat of financial loss lol some of her statements are absurd.

However if a dev wants to have some lnclusion as part of the plot I see no issue with it either. If they wanna tell an actually good story with a good character who happens to be gay, or black I welcome it. However games as a story just aren't near as impactful as shows. What most people want is fun games everything else is 2nd.

Honestly that's what devs should focus on fun gameplay, it's what has made all games. The crowd will come if it's fun haha even a ♥♥♥♥ story can draw a massive crowd if it's fun to play lol

I think that's sort of the problem though isn't it? If the devs didn't want to have inclusion (or go out of their way to have it rather) and SBI threatens them to make them do something they don't want to do (or makes them think they have no choice) then that matters a lot. I'm aware of at least one dead on arrival game that SBI was part of and the dev studio went out of business. They went from huge interest in players to barely any after the announcement of SBI being involved and one of the devs spoke out saying SBI threatened them with negative advertising and media coverage of they didn't partner with SBI. The dev was a AA studio and they felt they didn't have a choice. Either partner with SBI or die (the game not the people).

SBI is just a bunch of bullies.

If SBI is part of SoD3 then it's highly likely it will fail.

Considering the way she worded it in that video, I would have to agree with the sentiment that if they are threatening things like failure to force in certain plot lines, they are in fact bullying their way into forced plots.

However the inclusion of a character doesn't = SBI either. So if a dev has a good idea for a character and they happen to be let's say gay or trans, then I'm fine with it.

All of the comments that Youtube channels like this pick up on are PR interviews and Social Media posts where SBI are trying to show, poorly, that they are important and influential.

I am not saying they have power, what I am saying is some of the stuff in that video that was said is inherently wrong. So IF it's true they are saying something akin to a threat of failure to force in content. Honestly any content even ignoring the broader topic, that would be overall the wrong thing.

That video for example 4:35 "go have a coffee with your marketing team, and just terrify them with what'll happen if you dont" that statement is quite wrong lol they are telling someone as a consultant company co founder that if your company won't hire us, try to brute force them! It's wrong.

To be fair some of the stuff in the video that is from the channel voice itself I disagree with as well 🤣 but I can be honest an understanding of why people are put off if thats rhe Co founders ideals.

On one hand I really have no issues with any character of any race being portrayed as any sexuality, not my problem. If the game is good it could be 100% gay/trans characters slaying zombies haha. Nor am I worried about it with stare of decay at the moment that "woke/dei will ruin it" cuz that's just a dogwhistle. If SBI is somehow involved it's also no some instant deal breaker for me if it's a good game.

Oh don't get me wrong the things SBI say are BS but if they tried that kind of thing with a company like Microsoft or Sony they would get flattened without much effort for companies that have spent the last half century being the corporate bullies.
