My first thought reading that a few days ago was i wonder if that means everyone can have a separate base. I'm guessing not but that would be awesome. Imagine having multiple bases on the map and you can all trade between each other.
My only fear at the moment other then all forced character ♥♥♥♥ we have always had is the fact there is still going to be a tether system.

To me that implies there is 100% still a tether its now just going to be a bit bigger. And if that's the case i don't see separate bases being a thing, which is a shame.
