OP asked why there is no pause function, using a single key, and I responded by saying there IS a single-key pause button, which is the Esc. key....
Your above response only repeats what I already stated "Esc. key pauses the game" and then you make it sound like I don't understand the Esc. key function... and WHY did you feel it was necessary to post your personal review of the game, not only here, but on EVERY thread you have replied on? Do you even read the posts or do you just go from thread to thread posting your review? Seriously stop spamming that everywhere... it's like a dog whizzing on every fence post... FFS you are slinging that review around as if it were some badge of authority or something (which it isn't)... stop, just stop.
Nice profile.... obviously created that account JUST for the sake of this game.... I'm guessing dev, trying to "promote" the game by acting as a "fellow gamer"
Gladi, first of all, I am not "gladi" to meet you at all since you act and sound like an ironed mask @hole.
Secondly, you were first speaking to the original poster as if they themselves did not know how to operate an ESC key, similar to the way you lack the ability to operate a keyboard to properly spell "original poster".
Third, I misquoted by including your reply by accident, your reply which was never responded to because it was given in such a rude fashion. My response was intended to garner a different response, one clarifying as to how an escape key, should function. So you need to watch how you speak to other people and quit being a ignorant troll.
The poster did not need someone like yourself to answer his question with such hostility, or be downgraded by someone by the likes of you. Apparently, by your response given, you spend pretty much all of your time online, which explains why you are a socially inept creature who lives in its parent's basement, screaming like a spoiled little runt at their equally ignorant mother, simply because the pop-tart you demanded was not delivered with crisp edges. So get a life.
Also, how I chose to signature my replies is my concern, not yours. Who made you princess of the forums? All you had to do is simply reply in kind, or better yet, reply with nothing. Your low life response was uncalled for, and the offensive tone was unnecessary.
Lastly, my Steam account is over 5 years old, so obviously it was created long ago. Unlike yourself, I never waste my time obsessively playing games, or spend my days trolling forums to haze other people. Some new account this is ehh?
My resurface to this lowly world is due to the support of Mr. Prepper, which unfortunately, requires Steam access. That is why I reply the way I do, not because I am a developer. So if you choose to reply with more senseless hostility, it will be met with equal measure.
What I can say to your response is, I have been spending time helping with Mr. Prepper as a tester, and from what I have seen so far, other people have asked the same question.
Since the first release of Mr. Prepper, allot of changes have been made to the pause function, and it is being upgraded with every few patches or so.
Hopefully in the future, there will be an escape key that pauses the game while players read, craft or when they want to take a look around their bunker.
I asked the way I did so that I could get a better understanding of what you think the ESC key should do with a single click. So thankyou. I will be sure to pass along your suggestions. Again, my apologies.
yes this is exactly what I want. It might seem silly but i probably won't play this game without it. the esc key should bring up options and pause the game, another key should just pause the game and allow you to look around your base, your inventory, etc.
personally i would prefer spacebar, but that currently does something else (don't remember what). remappable keys would be ideal. I usually map pause to one of my mouse buttons
Ok. Noted. You should know that your request or suggestion is not silly at all. In fact, I copy and pasted your comment yesterday for the community to vote on and for the developers to ultimately decide. They are very responsive and have taken everyone's suggestions into consideration so far. Most of the changes have already been made and seen. So overall, hope to see it added, and even if not done perfectly, hope you still decide to play Mr. Prepper. This is one title I have been excited for in a very long time, and my free and voluntary participation is more so to help this small group of programmers achieve their dream, and also everyone else's. Thankyou!
Granted, Mr. Prepper does not move very fast on normal, although when adjusted in the settings menu to "always run", and when used in combination with the "CTRL" key to accelerate time, the pause key is likely to be used more often in order to give any player time to rethink, since time moves much faster and Mr. Prepper's time is very valuable.
Not sure if swapping the "esc" and "space" key to pause is warranted. It may simply need to provide more features.
