Chapter 5's election support choice

Hi! I'm really enjoying the game so far. However I have hit a bit of a snag and I would like to ask if anyone has seen something similar.

Throughout the election campaign I have consistently supported Dahlia and told Jasmine I support Dahlia. When Patrice visits and tells me she wants me to run for office, I told her I have promised to support Dahlia. Then Patrice says Dahlia's Utopian program will never work out and then I am left with two options only, to run for office myself or to support Jasmine's program. It does seem like it's a very final decision.

So question: Did I do something wrong, is it possible to keep supporting Dahlia?

My Fortuna's chosen Romance as her desire if that matters at all.
