Struggling with the KRAKEN Bossfight
Dive 1 through 14 I was able to do without having to restart a single dive, but the Final Dive (15) is a difficult struggle, I usually get killed within the first few minutes, sometimes even before reaching the arena. After having watched a few playthroughs by others, I'm starting to understand my weak points.

First I have not invested in Flashbangs, which I should have done earlier in the game, because they really come in handy if you get overwhelmed by enemies. Second I started off Dive 15 with poor ammo restock. That's a disadvantage because Dive 15 doesn't give you much opportunity to stack up on ammo. There are plenty of supply chests in the arena itself, but the waves of enemies simply prevent you from restocking without taking heavy damage.

This last Dive round really teaches you what you should have invested your gold into, and what not.

Yes, the kraken + it's followers is much more difficult, comparing to the rest of the game.
The way to the lair is rather siimple and fair, but BEWARE when the alert sound starts. Very few time to restock and very view place to fight the big one and the smaller enemies.
I would appreciate, the devs would optionally buff that scene. I.e., after 5 tries or so, make it optional to lower the difficulty. And/or make more respawn points. It's annoying to travel all the way to the lair, again, again AND AGAIN.

After several failures I think I will have to redo the entire game and make different upgrade choices. Also make sure that Dive 14 ends with fully stocked ammunition, although I wouldn't know how to do that.

You don't have to start from the beginning to get all upgrades. After a specific update, you are able to start from the last level with all upgrades avaiable. Don't overwrite your save! You have to choose new game. It's not the so called NG+, that as not avaiable until you finished the game. It's confusing, I know.

I don't get that. If I choose "New Game" how are all the updates available unless I earn them again??

From a new game you can choose to start after finished levels. Before the last level, you get all upgrades avaiable and enough money to buy them all. You don't have to earn them again, UNLESS you overwrote your save. Its's a little weird and hard to explain, but it works that way.
