Where is the save file location?
Title. I just finished playing the game and want to unlock the achievements next. I bought all the primary and secondary weapons and unlocked their achievement. But when I bought all the sidearms, the achievement for it didn't unlock. It may be because I spammed buying them quickly. But I do want to unlock the achievement. My plan is to find the save file, copy it somewhere, grind some money and buy all the sidearms and (hopefully) unlock the achievement. I don't want to lose my 100% save file. So, I hope I can get some help as to where the save file is.

That actual saved games folder is:

Steam\userdata\<user-id>\1338770\remote\savegames\

The <user-id> is just a string of numbers unique to your system but 1338770 is the Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 saved games folder.

It's easier to just copy the entire Userdata folder as then you have backups of all Steam Games.

Yeah. It's an empty folder. Thanks for your effort.

If I copy this folder and placed it somewhere else, then new game the game, after that copy it back to the same location, will it still have the first save file progress?

If you copy the folder to say a USB stick for safe keeping then start a new game as soon as you copy what you saved back it will overwrite the new game and put your old one back.

You will essentially just overwrite the new game with the old one and be back to where you started on the old game so not much point in doing it really. It's for if the files get corrupted or wiped like they have just done by patching SGWC1 so you don't lose all your progress.

Instead of starting a new game I would just replay the missions, that way you keep all your progress, weapons, mods and completed challenges and don't risk losing anything. I normally just back up the file every time I play now after what they did to SGWC1, the couple of outstanding challenges I had just went back and played that contract again so I could get them.

I see, I'll do as you said and keep that tip on mind whenever I'm playing. Thank you very much.
