Is the game really CUT in Germany?

I was about to buy this game. Luckily I looked into the Steam forums first. And yes, the description on the Steam page clearly says, the game is gonna be cut and will have no dismemberment in the German version.
And yet I wonder: can this be really true?
I really can't remember when last cut game was released on Steam. Didn't we get over that already? It really sounds unreal to me.

So please clarify: is the game really cut?

Correct, there is no gore for the german version. I expect an unofficial patch will come out in a few days as it happened for SGW-C1.

Oh man. I really don't want support censorship financially. Especially since the USK became so smooth in the past years that this case sounds like some kind of preemptive (i.e. voluntary) censorship.

you can buy all games uncut with gore in germany only this devs think they have to

@it-bone this question cannot be answered without becoming political, but what i can tell you is called "supervised" thinking, the tschörmen federal government decides what is good for the people... a kind of soft GDR (DDR)

its not political they dont have to cut this game and the last one.

Its not the devs, that makes no sense, why would they censor their own game in Germany for no reason?

why should the usk cut a game that have less gore then wolfenstein doom and other games that you can buy legal and uncut in germany

Hey there, yes the german version of the game has dismemberment disabled. The game required a lower gore level in order to receive an age rating in Germany. This is something we have to comply with in order to get our game released.
